I rarely ate red meat but stopped completely (minus one time) about two years ago after a time spent frequenting a Krishna temple in Berkeley. I was kind of walking by a statue of Krishna and the Sacred Cow and the Cow became animated in a sense and angry. I knew immediately to lay prostrate before it and that I was forgiven for my giving the cattle industry monday. Oddly enough two of the “brahmans” rushed to bow before it too, one of them saying to me, Krishna is protector of the cows.

If it’s difficult for you to become a vegetarian, try asking demigod Agni to help you became one and then meditate with the mantra Om Ram Agnaye Namaha, thinking in your solar plexus, the seat of Manipura chakra. It helped me so much I can’t eat any kind of meat since a year ago. It’s just not see it as edible anymore.

  11. agormanvideos says:

try getting Spirulina; an algae that contains lots of nutrients and vitamins.

I became vegan after I saw documentary ‘Eathing’ dvd, and read the book ‘The Rave diet’. Pant foods fight cancer cells, Animal foods feed cancer cells.

Animals do feel pain when you enduce pain. Animals scream, jump, bite, or run away if they could or fight back just to be free of pain enduce by man or other animals.

Very true, all creatures have soul & we should be kind to all of them. Eating dead animals will make our stomach(body) a graveyard.

  22. ANDROID697 says:

It’s cool to be a vegetarian..
I hear around 90% of Christians eat meat, take intoxicants ie; Alchohol, Caffine, Tobacco!
    Then there’s Gambling(greed and lust).

This is not the path of the Christ!
I live in Ireland and the People( Catholic’s and Prodestants) have it SO wrong.
I owe my life to Sri Prabupada! his teachings have cleansed my soul.
    Hare KRSHNA.

    You are so right

  24. Gauraonline says:

Please accept my humble obeisances. Jai Srila Prabhupada ! Very expertly done and intelligently done research. This is an excellent summary for those who are teachers of Prabhupada’s teachings. I met a Muslim man who was trying to convince me that God gave the animals for us to eat, and how do we know they feel pain when killed ? You have given the answer !
